*This is a family home approximately one mile from Edgartown on a private 1.5 wooded acre lot. *Approximately 2 miles to South Beach. *Plenty of parking space. *Wraparound deck for families, friends, and a BBQ. *Outside shower and accompanying hammock to relax. *Tuft and Needle Memory foam beds. *15 min walk to downtown. *30min walk to South Beach. *Short walk to water tower as well. * 5 min short walk to Katama General Store for last minute food and drink. * AC units and fans for the summer.

Good to know

The space is private and just up the street from the Katama General Store. AC units in the master bedroom and the adjacent queen bedroom. Split air unit in the living room. Fans provided for the shared bedroom. Cable TV and consistent WiFi. (450 Mbps download speed) Watch birds bathe in the birdbath while enjoying the sunshine on our wraparound, open deck catering to your BBQs and layouts. We are just a 10-15 min easy walk to historic Edgartown. We have a lovely outdoor shower too for your adventurous bathing routine!

Other Details to Note

If you want your own car on the island make sure to call ahead for availability on the Island Ferry from Woods Hole. Bike rentals are in Edgartown. (Wheel Happy is our favorite) Washer and dryer on premises as well adjacent to kitchen. Uber and Lyft are cheaper than taxi cab companies as well!

Guest Access

Please do not feed the birds and please shut off AC when not in use, especially upon departure. TRASH pickup is TUESDAY morning out in the wooden, bin box in the backyard. Please put trash in the bins in the backyard wooden box and securely cover. Please take your shoes off while in home as we try to keep our floors as clean as possible:) Thank you!

House is in a convenient location, a few minutes walk from a general store (which has Bbq) and 15-20 minute walk from downtown Edgartown. House was clean and host is super responsive and accommodating. Would book again!

House is in a great private location and a short walk to town or easy bike ride to South Beach. Had all amenities you would want for a very affordable price given the location. Mathew was a super host who was very responsive to our needs. Had a door jam and he sent his handyman over quickly to resolve the issue. Mathew even replaced the BBQ grill with a new one during our stay to accommodate our needs. Great property and great host!

We loved our stay here. The property is beautiful and very private. The large deck was our favorite feature and we really enjoyed relaxing there and looking out at all the lush tree's that surround the yard. Inside was clean and comfortable, as well. Being so close to South Beach and Katama General store were both great to have. I highly recommend staying here.

A perfect place for our group! The house is in a great location—super easy to get to South beach and a quick walk to downtown Edgartown, where there were plenty of fantastic restaurants/shops/bars. The patio is unbelievable—great lounging, with both shaded and sunny areas all throughout the day. This home is spacious, and has all of the little things you’d want in an Airbnb. AC units in the bedrooms and living room were really clutch. Our group loved the outdoor shower too. Hope you’re able to visit, and enjoy it as much as we did!

Great place for family with young kids! Quiet and clean. Great location -- walking distance to Edgartown, biking distance to South Beach and Katama Farm. 5-minute drive to grocery store. Spacious deck that's just a couple feet above the grassy yard, great for viewing stars on clear nights. Room for small kids to ride bicycles or scooters or tricycles in the circular gravel driveway. Kitchen equipped with everything you need including oil, salt, ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, and more. Ocean coast decor makes for a fun family vacation experience.

This space was lovely and quaint. The space fit our needs perfectly - we were two couples each with one child. The two children slept in the bedroom with the two twins. The location is spectacular and the house had everything we needed. JoAnn is a great host and we would love to come back again!

We had a great time staying in this house, it is a perfect location for those that are looking to utilize South Beach (a very quick 5 min drive), and also like walking into Edgartown (about a 15-20 min walk). The place had great air conditioning in the living room and bedrooms, which was great. Very quiet house at a dead end, big deck to hang out. Would definitely rent again!

We had a great stay at JoAnn’s House. The house is located in the perfect area- a close drive to South beach, a very short walk to the Katama store & a quick walk to downtown Edgartown. We loved the privacy of the home and the big driveway. The deck was great to come back to after a long day at the beach. We’d definitely recommend this house to anyone looking to stay in the Katama area! :)
